What does Travel Insurance cover?
  • 24-hour free worldwide emergency travel support provided by Allianz Global Assistance (at +65 6327 2215).
  • Personal accident benefits, up to $400,000.
  • Medical and travel benefits, including reimbursement of medical expenses incurred overseas, up to $1 million.
  • Travel assistance benefits, including emergency medical evacuation, up to $1 million.
  • Travel inconvenience benefits including trip cancellation and loss of deposit, up to $15,000; loss of personal effects, including laptop computer, up to $5,000; travel delay, up to $800; and baggage delay, up to $200.

What is a Single Trip Policy?

A Single Trip Policy covers the entire return trip (not exceeding 182 consecutive days) from the time during the Period of Insurance when the Insured Person leaves his/her home or workplace in Singapore, for the sole purpose of commencing a trip abroad, to 6 hours after the Insured Person arrives back in Singapore or on the expiry date of the Period of Insurance shown in the Schedule, whichever is sooner.

What is an Annual Multi-Trip Policy?

An Annual Multi-Trip Policy covers you for all trips taken during the Period of Insurance. You can make unlimited number of trips during the Period of Insurance, provided each trip does not exceed 90 consecutive days from the departure date.

ASEAN: Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar Thailand, Philippines and Vietnam

ASIA: ASEAN,Armenia, Australia, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Bangladesh, China, Cyprus, Georgia, Hong Kong, India, Israel, Japan, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Macau, Maldives, Mauritius, Mongolia, Nepal New Zealand, Oman, Pakistan, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Tajikistan,Timor-Leste, Turkey, Turkmenistan and United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, Yemen.

Worldwide: ASEAN, ASIA and the rest of the world excluding Afghanistan, Cuba, Democratic Republic of Congo, Republic of the Congo, Iran, Iraq, Liberia, Sudan Somalia, South Sudan and Syria.

How do I select the Travel Region if I am travelling to more than one country?

If you are travelling to more than one country, please select the furthest destination from Singapore.

Can a foreigner buy ePROTECT travel insurance?

Yes, a foreigner residing in Singapore and holding on to a valid Work Pass, Student Pass, Dependant’s Pass or Long-term Visit Pass is eligible to buy our travel insurance. Please note that this insurance will only cover for a round trip commencing and returning to Singapore within the Period of Insurance.

Are there any exclusions under ePROTECT travel insurance?

Yes, there are exclusions such as pre-existing illnesses, hazardous occupations or those who participate in professional high-risk sports.

Etiqa also do not cover the following countries: Afghanistan, Cuba, Democratic Republic of Congo, Republic of the Congo, Iran, Iraq, Liberia, Sudan, Somalia, South Sudan and Syria.

How can I get emergency travel assistance when I am overseas?

As a policyholder, you are entitled to the following free travel assistance services provided by Allianz Global Assistance. To access the service, simply dial the Emergency Services Hotline at +65 6327 2215 and quote your Policy Number. Consultation is free. Other third-party costs and expenses are covered under this Policy subject to the terms and conditions provided in the Policy Wording.
